The foundation stone laying ceremony of Royal Lee Hospital was held in May 2017.
Guangzhou Royal LEE Hospital is one of the three sub-projects of International Health Research Center of Sun yat-Sen University. The International Health and Medical Center is one of the top 500 modern industry projects in Guangdong, as well as one of the "three major breakthroughs" project in Guangzhou. The project covers an area of around 26668 square meters with a total of 15 floors, including high-end tumor hospital, high-end physical examination center, rehabilitation center, etc. Function combination is divided into outpatient department, medical technology department, inpatient department, administrative center, logistics department and so on. The overall function positioning after completion is as follows:

Design concept
The project is scheduled to complete construction in early 2019 and put into use in mid-2019. Lingnan culture, one of the most distinctive and dynamic regional cultures in Chinese culture, is taken as the design concept. The architectural style of "lngnan School" is characterized by free, natural and planar arrangement in accordance with the rules of people's activities, as well as a lively, cheerful and diversified facade and figure, which is organically combined with the landscaping and urban regional environment. AIA came up the overall plan from the natural ecological culture of Lingnan and combined the design of French gardens to shape a modern hospital full of regional culture. Based on the fact that the Royal LEE Hospital is a high-end medical service, AIA introduced the concept of garden hospital. The whole building will be located in the garden, taking advantage of the site's excellent physical and geographical conditions. Based on ecological principles of respecting and protecting the natural environment, relying on the natural movements of terrain and the present situation, combining with the traditional Lingnan garden and the style of the western geometric garden, the green space of indoor and outdoor is expertly mixed.
