Awards | AIA project Réunion Roland Garros Airport won the BATIMAT 2024 “Resilient Building Award - Innovation Award”

Recently, the project team of the new terminal at Roland Garros Airport in the French overseas department of Réunion was awarded the " Resilient Building Award - Innovation Award " at the BATIMAT exhibition held in Paris. This follows another significant honor, the French National Engineering Award, which the project received in 2023. The jury highly praised the project for its commitment to promoting natural ventilation — "intelligent, replicable, fully in harmony with the environment”.

As the world's first large-scale terminal to adopt bioclimatic design in a tropical region, it has attracted wide attention for its innovation in the aspect of environmental protection since its completion. This project has actively promoted the development of green buildings that prioritize "natural ventilation" as a primary means.
