AIA Life Designers participate in “INTERCONNEXION”- Sino-French Contemporary Architecture Exhibition
-
the INTERCONNEXION sponsored by the French Embassy in China opened on May 13 in the beautiful Beining Park in Tianjin. The Consul General of France in Beijing Guillaume ROY, French Cultural and Educational Cooperation Office in China, representatives from various sectors, and related architects attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
This exhibition is the first large-scale architectural exhibition in the past 60 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France. The exhibition showcases the different concepts and practices of China and France in the fields of urban planning, architecture and landscape design, as well as the transnational practices of architects from the two countries.
Interconnection invites you to explore the works of 28 contemporary French and Chinese architects. International-renowned architects and young designers are on the same stage, , engaging in dialogues in aesthetics, methodology, and professionalism to celebrate the diversity of architectural creations in both countries and invite people to reflect on the evolution of architecture.
AIA Life Designers is one of 14 French architects taking part in the exhibition. Through multimedia, models, display boards, we present to the public several representative design, such as healthcare projects and eco-friendly factories, to show our thinking and practice on public welfare, environment and health.

On the opening day, an architectural event related to the exhibition was held at Tianjin University. Yang Hai, partner of AIA Life Designers Group and general manager of China, participated in the round table dialogue and discussed with 5 architects from different backgrounds around "Architecture and Reality".
“Introduction”
Interconnection is a review of the evolution of architecture over the past few decades. It invites us to reflect on its necessary evolution, as the ecological crisis forces us to rethink our architecture and life-style. What will be the reality of architecture in decades to come?

As a renowned group of architects and engineers in France, AIA Life Designers has long been committed to the construction practices of health and sustainable development, striving to achieve the goal of promoting the harmonious existence of humanity, society, and nature.
Yang Hai explained the principle of arranging energy plant close to the city through the case of a waste incineration power station implemented in Paris center: reducing secondary pollution during garbage transportation, and the electricity generated after garbage treatment can quickly feed back the city, resulting in efficient energy utilization. Fully integrate architecture with urban functions and public needs.

In China, taking Ningbo Yinzhou Domestic Waste Incineration Power Plant as an example, although the factory wasn't built in city center, the building itself can tell its own story, telling how to convert waste into new energy. A simple metaphor here: "Bees collect pollen, bring it back to the hive, and make honey; garbage trucks travel through the city to collect garbage, bring it back to the factory, and convert it into energy." By shaping the space and facade, we created a 'honeycomb factory'. The honeycomb factory has become a medium, attracting the public's attention to environmental issues, such as the environment protection, garbage classification, and energy regeneration, and thus becoming a museum of domestic waste treatment and a youth education base.
