CONCEPTION
LUSHAN
Designers get inspiration from Lushan, an outstanding natural creation located in Jiujiang City. The project volume is modeled as Lushan, showing the rhythm of mountain rock. The central garden mimics the greening of Lushan and the design of interior space reminds people of soft clouds up around the mountain.
— — Simon TSOUDEROS
The hospital is located north of Lushan and surrounded by its great ecologic environment from which the design conception derives. The scenery out of the hospital window is just like a painting, and the clouds varify unpredictably.
▲ Street View
The tower has a curtain wall construction of grey rock with varying grain density, treating technology, and collage. The podium façade is designed with brownish terra-cotta to show the warmth of the ground.
▲ Central Garden
The interior design also takes the element of Lushan as a reference, showing the beauty of rock and cloud by applying appropriate colors and materials, which enhance the relaxed spatial experience. The entrance hall is adorned with grille up on the ceiling and natural light throughout the interior, creating a feeling of ‘in the cloud’. The rehabilitation and administration buildings replicate the style to achieve a harmonious unity with the whole project.
