Zhuhai Women and Children’s Hospital designed by AIA LIFE DESIGNERS held its opening ceremony

The formal Inaugural Ceremony of Zhuhai Women and Children’s Hospital designed by AIA LIFE DESIGNERS, together with Huafang Design Institute, was held on 29th July, 2020. The hospital invited the mayor of Zhuhai City, the Chairman of the city’s CPPCC, the vice Deputy Director of the the NPC Standing Committee, the Director of the Health Bureau, the Secretary of the CPC of the hospital, and its designer AIA LIFE DESIGNERS to participate in this ceremony and witnessed this important moment together.
Zhuhai Women and Children’s Hospital is located at Nanqin Road, Nanping Town of Xiangzhou District in Zhuhai City. It’s a municipal third class – A level hospital with a total building area of 124 700 m2, which includes outpatient, emergency, med-tech, inpatient, logistic, administration, dormitory and underground parking services.AIA LIFE DESIGNERS won the competition for the project in November 2015, and has received the “National Hospital Construction Award” in 2017.After less than 5 years of design development and construction, the hospital officially received its first patients in summer of 2020.Great efforts have been made to carry through the original design and the final building delivered keeps the very strong and iconic image of a modern facility, dedicated to women and children.
